REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Hey there! I know that sometimes, plans change. Life happens. So here’s how I handle refunds, rescheduling, and cancellations — with kindness, clarity, and just the right dose of boundaries.

1. Policy application

This policy applies to all services provided under Ayelett Loves Design, including:

Template customization

Squarespace website redesign

Custom Squarespace website design

Strategic web copywriting essentials

Strategic branding essentials (on Canva)

Whether we’re working on your dream site or crafting strategic essentials for your brand, this is how things work behind the scenes.

2. Payment Terms

To secure your spot and officially kick off the project, I ask for a 50% deposit of the total project price.
The remaining 50% is due before your final website is handed over (or before delivery of strategic assets).

No project starts without that initial deposit — it reserves time in my calendar and allows me to dive in fully focused on your project.

3. Cancellation by You

If you decide to cancel your project before completion, here's how the refund works:

  • 30% of the full project price is non-refundable (this portion of the deposit covers time already invested in preparation, strategy, and communication).

  • 20% of the full project price is refundable, even if work hasn’t begun yet.

You’re always welcome to reschedule instead of cancel. In that case:

  • The initial 50% deposit is kept, and we simply adjust timelines as needed.

  • You just need to let me know as soon as possible so we can make it work for both sides.

4. Cancellation by Me

If for any reason I need to cancel the project (emergencies, life surprises, etc.), you’ll receive a full refund of all amounts paid — no questions asked.

I’ll also offer to reschedule the project if you’d still like to move forward later, and your original deposit will remain valid and unchanged.

5. Rescheduling

Plans shifting? No problem.

You can reschedule your project with me at any time — just give me a heads-up as soon as you can. Your 50% deposit stays secure and we’ll find a new date that works for both of us.

6. Final Notes

All of this is laid out clearly in the contract we sign before starting any work. You'll always be kept in the loop with updates and reminders at every step — no ghosting here!
